Great Eastern Group, Inc. is a 100 % woman owned 8(a), marine engineering and construction business operating globally and based in Fort Lauderdale and Panama City Beach, Florida.  In addition GEG is certified as a small disadvantaged, emerging, small business by the US Government.  Established in 2002 as an S Corporation by Virginia Hoffman, GEG provides program/project management, engineering services-including mechanical, electrical and architectural services, submarine fiber optic cable system terrestrial, shallow water and main cable lay and shore end installation operations and contracts to the Naval Surface Weapons Center for the Operation, maintenance and repair of the USNRV Sea Fighter (FSF-1), the Office of Naval Research’s High Speed Experimental Catamaran. Additional project experience include:

  • Program management experience for DoD agencies, including U. S. Navy and Coast Guard.

  • Project management of geophysical and geo-technical survey work, from the beach to full ocean depth shipboard and office-based support.

  • Production of burial feasibility and risk assessment reports, based on geophysical and geo-technical data.

  • Production of landing site investigation reports, Desk-top (Cable Route) Studies and Survey.
